For this project students will learn a verity of watercolor painting techniques. They will then assemble multiple photo references to help them develop a landscape painting of their own, combining elements from each references.
Repousse and chasing
Students will combined drawing with metal, they will be given a sheet of metal where they will create their own repousse elements to be added to their color pencil drawings.
3D Printing
Students learn how to use the program TinkerCad inorder to create their own 3D works of art. They then convert files types and set up the printers to turn their computer deisings into 3D creations.
Juxtaposition
Creating contrast for the purpose of comparison.

Paper Making
Learn the process recycling paper by breaking it down and turning it into a new sheet of art. Once student successfully make their own paper they will then create their own paper painting by layering different colors of paper to create images.
Portraits
Students continue to practice and build their skills in facial features then draw a person of their choosing working to get accurate proportions, value, and textures.
Japanese Stab Binding
Japaneses stab binding is a unique technique where the sewn spine becomes a decorative design element. Once students have completed their books they will be used for weekly drawing through out the school year.
